Newly acquired manufacturing plant in NE Indianapolis seeks a seasoned cost accountant with overall plant accounting experience.
This is a remote subsidiary of an out-of-state corporation and this position will be responsible for managing the day to day accounting systems in an established business. You will be responsible for the implementation a Standard Costing System, including Production Reporting, Inventory Control and Variance Analysis.
You will also provide oversight of all local accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Billing and coordination with corporate HQ on month end closing.
The successful candidate will be a capable, self motivated, hands-on accountant with a keen interest in timely and accurate reporting. A detailed knowledge of, and experience with, Excel and Word are critical to success, as are good written and verbal communication skills.
A Bachelors Degree plus at least four years practical experience are required. A CPA is preferred.
