You probably have seen speed dating parties on T.V. or in the movies, and now you are curious about how they work.
You can choose a party and purchase the tickets online through dateanddash.com Once you do this you will automatically be registered. No paper tickets are needed and your name will appear on our VIP list for that party.
Next, you arrive to the specified location (usually a nice pub/bar) on the specified date for your particular party. All parties have check-in times and start times. We do ask that you arrive a little earlier so you can have extra time for a drink or two before the party begins.
You will get a sticker with a number on it for yourself and a matchcard that has the numbers for the people you will be dating. You will use the matchcard to circle "yes" or "no" next to the people you date.
You will spend between 3-8 minutes with each date. After each date you will rotate in a round robin style. For example; if you start on number 6 you will go to number 7 and so on. There will be about a 15 minute intermission for more drinks or to use the restroom.
The goal is for everyone to date each other. However the size of the event and time will ultimately determine this.
When the party has ended you will have to go to dateanddash.com and click on "my matches" . Here you will enter your choices into our automated matching system. A match is if you circled "yes" to them and if they circled "yes" to you. To find out if you have a love connection we ask everyone to enter their matches within 72 hours of the dates.
