Women's Christian Reading Club. Our book club is based in Indianapolis, IN and we belief that reading for wisdom is important. We read to feed our souls, to broaden our horizons, to learn to think outside of our own beliefs so that we are not prejudice to what others think, and to be willing to want to learn new things. How? By reading. We read literature, autobiographies, urban Christian, Christian, we have no prejudice on genres, we just like to keep our reading material under the umbrella of "wisdom," not wisdom defined by us humans, but wisdom defined by our heavenly Father. We read books that will allow for us to have great dialogue while enjoying good food. Friday is the day of the week that we hold our book club discussion meetings. It is a time when we let our hair down and give praise and honor to God our Father for our many blessings. We meet new friends, old friends, we become extended family. Our relationships grow, they begin to extend beyond the bi-monthly meetings to daily words of wisdom, encouragement, and prayer. We begin to form a lasting bond. We are committed to meeting bimonthly being prepared for discussion starting and ending each meeting with prayer and following the agenda to ensure that we discuss other topics such as plans for travel both personal and book club, weddings, graduations, birthdays, and other things that are of importance to all members. We all look forward to the meetings. It is currently a book club made up of all women but we would like to have men as well. We only ask that you be 18 or older. We meet at different locations that are selected prior to the meetings. Sometimes the meetings are held at one of the members homes, other times they are held at a restaurant. Wherever the location, I can guarantee it is good food, friends, and fun with many blessings. As a result, Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:26 NIV
