Does your older child, age 10 to 16, have problems at school with reading or completing assignments?
Did he or she also have a harder time focusing and learning to read than other children the same age?
Doctors at Indiana University School of Medicine are conducting a clinical research study for children age 10 to 16 with ADHD and Dyslexia.
ADHD stands for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity disorder. Symptoms of ADHD can include difficulty paying attention, distractible, fidgety behavior and acting first without thinking.
Dyslexia is a learning disorder that affects reading. Older children with dyslexia usually read more slowly and with worse comprehension than their classmates.
If this sounds like it could be your child, he or she may qualify for a research study at the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic at Riley Hospital, on the IUPUI campus. Call 317-278-3472 for more information.
Participation in the study includes evaluations to diagnose ADHD and Dyslexia. It also involves the use of an investigational medication or placebo, and regular clinic visits for up to10 months.
Risks will be disclosed prior to study enrollment.
Call 317-278-3472 to find out more and learn if your child may be eligible.
