Hi! I'm Jack, and I do automotive diagnostics and repair. Flat rate $75/hr, with labor time coming from Mitchell On Demand labor guides for accurate and consistent quoting. Payment must be cash. No checks or cards. Parts come from Napa, or you can provide them yourself. I have been dealership trained on Lexus vehicles, and have experience with many makes, including German cars.
Why choose me?
Attention to detail. Many jobs take twice as long as book time (which is why it's important you are charged by the job and not actual time!). When you go to a shop, things are quicker due to the technicians wanting to beat flat-rate time. Many earn 80-90 hours worth of pay on a 40 hour work week. I tend to do about 20-30 flat rate hours a week.
The next best thing about me is that I get to work on your car much quicker than the average shop. Many people find me because the dealerships around Indianapolis are ALWAYS too busy. It takes WEEKS to get an appointment these days! I even get work that should be covered under warranty, but the customer just can't wait that long.
Cost. I am much less costly than dealers, and extremely competitive with Independent shops since my overhead is very low. My shop is on the same property as my house. And it's no "garage," but a large shop built in the back.
Security. I rarely get people trespassing. And when they do, they are met with a couple German Shepherds and a rifle in their face. Motion detectors, cameras, flood lighting. And parking areas that have ZERO chance of a tree falling on it during a storm. And since I work from home, I am here 24/7. ALL other shops are vulnerable to even an experienced thief. NOT HERE.
My diagnostic equipment is the Autel Maxisys. It does everything, but is optimized for German stuff since that comprises roughly half of my customer base. But like I said, it's does everything. A universal tool.
Please email me and I can give you my number, or you can give me a callback number. Use the CL relay since it's my protection against the spam-bots. Otherwise I would have posted my number and email right here in the description field!
My last 3 jobs:
Complete brake line replacement on a 2008 GMC Envoy.
Timing chain/guide job on a 1999 Explorer with 4.0 SOHC
And the last one is only halfway completed, which is a complete engine rebuild on a 2006 Charger with the 5.7 Hemi. It's torn down, but the customer is currently gathering cash so I can get it over to the machine shop (using http://www.schmidtautomotive.com/machine-shop.html) They are the best machine shop around!
Last note: the engine/trans picture I posted was of a 2006 Bentley continental GT. It was a 33 hour job.... to replace the freaking starter! Don't buy a Bentley... it's not worth it, lol!
