This rare desk is in good condition for its age. This style of desk was fashioned after the old spinet pianos. It has a hinged top that lifts to reveal storage and a pull out writing surface below. There is one drawer that spans the length of the desk. The original label is on the underside of the drawer that shows it was made by the Bay View Furniture Co. in Holland Michigan, the furniture capital during its day. They opened their doors in 1907 and were out of business in the 1930's.
The clean lines of this desk attribute to an older style desk. This desk has beautiful legs with a turned feature that tapers down to add to the delicate appearance of the table.
