A pair of Wharfedale Emerald 93 bookshelf speakers. With custom built heavy duty speaker stands. I really like the sound of these speakers, very musical. I’m moving out of the country next year, and my plan was to keep these speakers, but I’ve since decided to sell as many things as I can. The EM93 is the taller cabinet version of the EM91, so it has a lower bass frequency response. 8 ohm, 100 watt, 88dB, 40Hz – 20kHz, 170mm/6.69” Bass/Mid, 25mm/1” Textile Dome, 19.3” H, 8.66” W, 11.0” D.
These have separate connectors for the woofer and the tweeter for bi-wiring or bi-amping. Being a welder, I built the stands myself, they are made of ¼” thick 1”x1” angle with adjustable leveling feet and a solid steel top that can be rotated completely around to any position with bolts to lock in place. These were custom made for these speakers, so they have a steel padded plate that can be snugged up to the side of the speakers by the side bolts. You won’t find another pair of speaker stands like them. The stands are 31” high to where the speakers sit, placing the speakers at ear level when sitting in a chair.
Wharfedale speakers have always been highly rated. If I can get $300 firm for these speakers with the stands, I’ll take it, so I don’t have to ship them overseas. I also have a pair of Monitor Audio floor standing speakers listed and reduced to $580 a great deal! “Monitor Audio Silver RS6”
