Beautiful, original antique desk which I believe was for typesetting, but some others have said it was for drafting. It does have an inkwell hole on the upper left corner, which is a bit odd for me if I were right-handed, as most were back then. There is a door on the right side with slots above and below in the large space the door covers. There's another door at the rear as well. It is very heavy, which makes me think it's oak. All of the shelves have tin inside them, and the pull-handles have all been changed, but not by me. There's also a number 6 stamped into the wood near the inkwell hole, make sure to look at all of the photos please, they tell the story. Not sure who made it, nor can I find a maker's mark or label. It stands 3' 4" at its highest point at the back, the top (which is larger than its base) is 3' 2.5" wide and 2' 4.5" deep. The opening for the chair is 21.75 inches across.
I will take $300 cash only for this beauty, and I cannot deliver it, nor can I help move it. Because of that this sale will be final, with no return possible.
There are no warranties offered nor implied, you are getting the actual item you see in the photographs. Thank you for your interest.
