I have several white oak trees, potted for anyone that wants an oak tree. When you plant them this small, they adapt very well and grow quickly. I still recommend digging the hole larger than what you need and filling it back in, which you should do for any tree, but these don't require a very big hole.
I have several available, and it is first-come, first-choice. The taller ones are about a foot and a half tall, but I think they are all the same age, and they have about the same root system. If you buy a larger tree from a store or nursery, they will get transplant shock, and also they will also think they are still in a pot, and will grow slowly the first couple of years, so I think you're better off planting them young. I have two oak trees in my yard and they've grown pretty quickly, and then squirrels magically showed up out of nowhere.
Please contact me using the Craigslist email relay contact button on this page (usually in one of the upper corners). Let me know when you'd like to stop by, and I'll send details. I live on Stop 18 road in Greenwood.
