Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Job Summary
Hiring Sorters for the Indianapolis Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). This role involves sorting recyclable materials on a conveyor line and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sort materials by type, size, condition, color, or grade on conveyor line
Remove contaminants from paper and other recyclables
Feed materials onto conveyor system
Stack boxes, skids, and dump totes as needed
Clean conveyor belts and surrounding work areas
Monitor equipment operation and report any issues or safety concerns
Follow all safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Attend required safety and operations meetings
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 3 months of related experience or training preferred
High school diploma preferred but not required
Ability to lift and handle materials (generally under 30 lbs)
Comfortable working in an industrial/outdoor environment with noise, dust, and varying conditions
Must be reliable and able to work assigned schedule
Work Environment
This position involves physical labor in a recycling facility. Workers are regularly exposed to noise, dust, and outdoor conditions. Safety gear and procedures are required at all times.
