Core Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Select appropriate programs, install required lenses or nozzles, and adjust laser power, speed, and focal points based on material type and thickness.
- Material Handling: Safely load raw material (e.g., sheet metal) into the machine and unload finished parts, often using forklifts or hoists.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for accuracy and defects using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges to ensure they meet blueprint specifications.
- File Preparation: Create or edit laser cut files from CAD drawings using software such as CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, or SigmaNest to optimize nesting and yield.
- Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, such as cleaning lenses and mirrors, monitoring chiller systems, and troubleshooting minor technical issues
