Alvarez acoustic-electric guitar model AD66CESHB Dreadnought. Mint condition. 50th Anniversary Special Edition. Excellent action and setup. Carefully stored and handled, well-maintained. Shadowburst finish. Top is solid African Mahogany, also African Mahogany back and sides. Premium headstock and fingerboard inlays crafted from mother-of-pearl. This Alvarez looks better in person than in pics. Deluxe case not included. $625.

This guitar is Dreadnought (G) size, and it has cutaway design. Many of the new Alvarez models (such as MFA66CE and others) are smaller Folk/OM (Orchestra Model) size, also known as Grand Auditorium (GA) size. Companies cut production costs, including reducing the quantity of material goods, as a response to inflation. Despite the continued popularity of dreadnoughts, several guitar manufacturers seem to be pushing the smaller sizes and limiting the number of dreadnoughts they produce, which allows them to limit their prices on the smaller guitars because dreadnoughts cost more to produce. When comparing guitars of otherwise identical features, dreadnoughts are worth more.

Amazing Dreadnought size guitar! Great action. Mine has not needed any adjustment to the neck from when it was new eight years ago. I always keep a fresh humidifier in the case. Holds a tune remarkably well. Sounds superb and looks phenomenal! An acoustic guitar with a quality solid wood top is better with age. Manufacturers seem to be making fewer of the Dreadnought size models.
