This guitar is Dreadnought (G) size, and it has cutaway design. Many of the new Alvarez models (such as MFA66CE and others) are smaller Folk/OM (Orchestra Model) size, also known as Grand Auditorium (GA) size. Note that (G) is a size designation that corresponds to the Dreadnaught size, but "D" in the model AD66CESHB is for "Dreadnaught," which is the name of the size. "AD" in the model is for "Alvarez Dreadnaught."
Manufacturers cut production costs, including reducing the quantity of material goods, as a response to inflation. Despite the continued popularity of dreadnoughts, several guitar manufacturers seem to be pushing the smaller sizes and limiting the number of dreadnoughts they produce, which allows them to limit their prices on the smaller guitars because dreadnoughts cost more to produce. When comparing guitars of otherwise identical features, dreadnoughts are worth more, and this guitar is a Dreadnought.

Amazing Dreadnought size guitar! Great action. It has never needed any adjustment to the neck. I always keep a fresh humidifier in the case. Holds a tune remarkably well. Sounds superb and looks phenomenal!
