This is a superb example of the "Orchestral" model square grand piano by the Mathushek Piano Company. The "Orchestral" was the largest and most expensive model square grand piano offered by the firm. Mathushek was known for getting the largest tone out of the smallest space, so these large Orchestral square pianos sound truly amazing. Note the heavily carved scalloping around the edges of the case, as well as an ornate grilled music rack and legs. It is rare that one has the opportunity to play an Orchestral square piano, and many are surprised at how pleasing an instrument it can be to listen to. Note the value of restored Mathushek pianos https://antiquepianoshop.com/product-category/mathushek/ Patented in 1862. It is 39" tall, 40" deep, and 82" long. Playable condition.
