For sale is a Sony C-37A SU-2 – the extremely rare version of the C-37A, where Sony factory-upgraded the microphone to the legendary Telefunken AC701 tube.
This is one of the most sought-after variants of the C-37A, known for its incredibly warm, but more linear tone than the standard version with 2A3 tubes. The result is a microphone that delivers the classic Sony sound, but with more headroom, less distortion and a cleaner top end.
