make / manufacturer: Harmony
model name / number: X Braced Conversions
Looking to liquidate - both are rebuilt vintage (1960s) Harmony guitars with X bracing, neck resets, all solid woods. Asking $600 for the Sovereign, $500 for the 12 feet or would let the pair go for $1000. The Sovereign is an H1260 and has a new top with Martin style forward shifted bracing (conversion done by Moonlightluthiers), the other was originally a 12 string, headstock was cut down and it was x braced for 6 strings. Both in good condition - the 12 string conversion has a piece of binding that was super glued this past winter, but it’s solid. I cannot recall who converted this one but I’ve had it for 10 years or so and it has held up very well.

There will be wear and tear but both are great playable guitars, no issues with fretboards, bridges or tuning stability. I use extra lights on the converted 12 string so it’s super easy to play, great blues box and it looks cool as hell. The Harmony logo is an aftermarket eBay find and can come right off - there is no logo on the cut down mahogany headstock. The H1260 is a wonderful dreadnought/jumbo and doesn’t have issues that I am aware of.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like more photos, or come check them out at Allison Pointe Townhomes. I don’t believe I have cases that fit either guitar. I’d love a Harmony lover to have both.
