Looking for people who are obsessed with learning music theory on their own. Especially, those who take notes. All I do is learn about and write music, so I don't have much to talk about with people outside of small talk. I don't watch the hottest shows or follow the news or care about the weather, so it would be nice to meet some people with similar interest and share notes. Maybe we'll be able to learn something from each other.

Every so often I make an attempt to stretch my understanding of jazz improvisation. Attempting wild rhythms and outside notes. I get burnt out eventually. These attempts never fail to improve my writing of melodies. Even if I don't master jazz improvisation, I come out of it a better player. My last attempt was learning minor 2 5 1. I made several diagrams mapping out the chords and wrote licks accordingly to better understand where to play on the neck and segue chords. Right now, I'm working on a piece that includes 5:2 licks.
I'm not looking to work with anyone on my music. I work best alone. Just looking to share notes, which I have a lot of.

I don't want to record any of my complex stuff till I find a real drummer to record with.
