Singer/guitarist/bassist and drummer/keyboardist looking for writing/recording collaboration. We are mainly interested in crafting songs and recording instead of live performance. Releases could be promoted through multiple social media platforms.
Influences: Radiohead, Interpol, Pink Floyd, REM, Beatles, Mogwai, XTC, Can, Black Moth Super Rainbow, etc. We want to write well-crafted songs that blend guitars and synths.
Devoted to home-recording and the DIY ethic. In regards to audio production, we are interested in clarity and textural layers that are best enjoyed with a decent set of headphones.
We get together weekly for several hours of crafting songs and recording. If something really takes off, we might be interested in getting together more often. This is a collaborative project where songwriting credits are split equally. We'd prefer working with musicians of similar age (30s and 40s), but we are open to potential collaborators outside this range. Not interested in drug/alcohol issues, drama, haters, stupidity, Trump supporters, or religious fundamentalists. Ideal collaborator would be another artistic singer/songwriter that plays bass, guitar, and/or keyboard (we've got drums covered). We'd love to get some harmonies going and have the luxury of being able to switch instruments.
Looking for that creative chemistry that results in high quality musical productivity. In other words, we need a compatible third person to bounce ideas around, generate synergy, and help move the process forward. If anyone is interested and wants to trade audio clips, we can share a fair amount of music in various stages of completion.
