Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Shop Manager to lead daily operations in our production facility — someone who takes pride in precision, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage a team of approximately 20 shop employees daily to meet production goals and deadlines.
Oversee all aspects of shop operations, from material flow to finished product.
Monitor inventory and inform office personnel when material is needed.
Ensure quality control standards are met for every project.
Coordinate with project managers and installers to maintain timelines.
Build custom cabinets, casework, and millwork components from shop drawings.
Operate woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely and accurately.
Cut, shape, and assemble wood and wood substitutes.
Install hardware, hinges, drawer slides, and specialty fittings.
Sand, prepare, and finish products as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company quality standards and timelines.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in millwork, cabinetry, or casework production.
Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a shop environment.
Strong understanding of cabinet construction, laminates, solid surfaces, and hardware.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Familiarity with CNC machinery and AutoCAD/Microvellum a plus.
Proficient in measuring, cutting, and assembling cabinetry with accuracy.
Familiarity with woodworking machines (table saws, jointers, planers, edge banders).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Dependable with good communication and teamwork skills.
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay based on experience. Will be discussed further during interview.
