Molded plastic art deco water pitcher designed by Charles M. Burroughs, made in 1948. Manufactured by Burroughs Manufacturing Corporation, Los Angeles, California. There's one of these in the Smithsonian!
Resembles the ceramic disk pitchers popular in the 30s and 40s--circular with flattened sides on a rectangular base with a hinged lid covering the spout. Handpainted with palm tree and beach, a souvenir of California.
Holds approximately 1½ quarts (8 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 3"). Excellent condition. $30.
