We have a vintage late 19th century accent chair made by the J.S. Ford Johnson Company in Chicago, IL. The company was only in business from 1872- 1913, so this is an old specimen in great condition! The chair has an inlaid seat, spindles and someone applied caster pins to the leg bottoms to protect flooring. The finish almost looks cherry. Part of its original JS Ford Johnson "red" tag remains on the chair seat bottom.
