Again, the product is BRAND NEW, never out of the box!! It does need to be assembled!! Those are not pictures of the nightstand as is, but what the nightstand will look like when finished!! I bought two of these and set one of them up. I was planning on using the second one after I moved, but I misplaced it for a couple months. So the box is a little beat up, but the product is 100% great condition, and the other nightstand I have that is the same as this one is great and I've been using it for over a year+. The second picture is what the item looks like now, how it currently is in the box. Very highly rated nightstand!! Very nice-I still use my other nightstand just like it that I purchased!!
